Nomads no longer - The Barbarians have a permanent home

We have a new field of our very own which will be the "Home of The Tampa Barbarians".
The field is situated behind the Hilda Turner Elementary School at 9190 Imperial Oak Blvd, Tampa, 33647. There is ample space for us to play our games there as well as practice. We will be able to keep the field marked out and erect proper posts. Additionally the field is floodlit.
We now have storage on site for all our practice gear and equipment as well as bathrooms and a concession stand.
No longer will we be Nomads wondering the streets looking for a scrap of grass upon which to play our game - Now we've got a permanent home!
This is seriously good news and we all need to thank Monica Wooden for making this come true. The Field of Dreams!!!!
New UK Team Association
We are pleased to announce our NEW association across the Atlantic with Bicester Rugby Union Football Club,Oxfordshire, England. Bicester RUFC mini and junior section (ages 7 to 16) was established in 1982. Since then the club has grown to around 300 members - both boys and girls, and has produced some International Rugby players who have represented England at the highest level. The club also boasts two mens teams. It is a very successful club with a great history. The Rugby season in the UK runs from Sep 1st thru until April 30th and I know that any member of the Tampa Barbarians would be welcome at  Bicester, and encouraged to visit our friends in the UK should you ever be visiting. We intend to keep in touch through the websites and swapping news and photos. Who knows, maybe in a couple of years we could arrange a tour - either going there or them coming here. I would encourage you to visit their website at www.bicesterrufc.org.uk
